The brainstorming sessions on use cases with Bohdan were very good. I have put Scott's SWE diagrams on the site for reference. I will add the list of Use Cases when I get back from holidays. The main point of this entry is to try and keep things active.

What is this all about, then.

This blog provides a spot for Ian Atkinson, Scott Bainbridge and Cameron Huddlestone-Holmes to work on a plan to improve collaboration between AIMS and JCU on GBR Sensor Networks. It follows on from a meeting held on Thursday, 26 October 2007.

In summary, the outcome of our discusions on Thursday were that we will endeavour to esctablish some kind of "centre of excellence", hosted by AIMS@JCU, that will provide a focus for our activities. The reason for doing this is to provide an entity that can be used to market our services outside the two institutions. This is important with the coming funding from NCRIS and the State Government. There will also be real benefits in terms of collaboration.
I have set up this blog to provide an easy means of keeping track of discussions. Of course we can use the features of Plone to share ideas, documents etc in any way we see fit. For example, I have started a "page" called Capabilities in which we can cut and paste from existing capabilities documents.

No-one else should be reading this.
